UGA Skidaway Institute’s Clark Alexander to participate in sea level rise discussion

UGA Skidaway Institute Professor Clark Alexander will be part of a panel discussing sea level rise on the Georgia Coast, next Monday evening.

“Rising Tides: The Invisible and Inevitable Impact On Our Coast” will be held at The Sentient Bean (13 E Park Ave) on Monday, May 9th, at 7 p.m. The event will run for about 50-60 minutes, with a 15 minute Q&A afterwards.

In addition to Dr. Alexander, the panel will include Jackie Jackson, Director of Comprehensive Planning, Metropolitan Planning Commission and Tybee Island Mayor Jason Buelterman. The event will be MC’d by Ben Maher, a wetland biologist and community activist.
